Organization Settings

Organization settings control account-level preferences that apply across your entire Rizer Recycling workspace. These settings affect how information displays, what defaults are used, and how your organization is represented throughout the platform.

This article covers how to view and update organization settings.

Accessing Organization Settings

  1. Click Settings in the main navigation
  2. Select Organization

The organization settings page displays your company information, account settings, and contact details.

Company Information

These settings identify your organization within Rizer.

Organization Name

Your company name as it appears throughout Rizer. This shows up in:

  • Navigation headers
  • Email footers in nurturing campaigns (if configured)
  • Reports and exports
  • References within HubSpot integration

To update:

  1. Click the menu icon next to your organization name
  2. Click Edit
  3. Update the Organization name field
  4. Click Save

Keep this professional and recognizable. If your legal name is “Acme Corporation International Holdings LLC” but everyone knows you as “Acme,” just use “Acme.”

Company Website

Your organization’s primary website URL. Include the full URL with https://.

Rizer’s AI uses your website to:

  • Understand your products and services
  • Generate more accurate recycling suggestions
  • Provide context when analyzing lost deals
  • Tailor recommendations to your business

A complete, accurate website URL improves AI-powered features throughout Rizer. If your website has changed or wasn’t set correctly during onboarding, update it here.

Company Founded Date

The year your business was established. This is informational — it helps Rizer understand your company’s context and maturity.

This setting is optional but can provide useful context for AI analysis.

Organization ID

A unique identifier for your Rizer account, displayed next to your company name (for example, #1234).

This is read-only — you cannot change it.

Use your Organization ID when:

  • Contacting Rizer support
  • Referencing your account in communications
  • Working with API integrations (if applicable)

Account Created

The date your Rizer Recycling account was created.

This is read-only — it’s set automatically when you sign up and cannot be changed.

Account Settings

These settings control defaults and preferences that affect how Rizer works for your organization.

Default Currency

The primary currency for reporting and displaying totals. All revenue metrics in reports — lost deal value, won-back revenue, pipeline totals — display in this currency.

If you have deals in multiple currencies, Rizer automatically converts them to your default currency using daily exchange rates.

Common choices:

  • USD (United States Dollar)
  • EUR (Euro)
  • GBP (British Pound)
  • Your local currency if different

Choose the currency your business primarily operates in or reports to stakeholders.

Allowed Currencies

The currencies your organization uses for deals and revenue tracking. Your default currency is included automatically.

If you sell internationally and have deals in multiple currencies, add all relevant currencies here. Rizer handles conversion automatically for reporting.

To add currencies:

  1. Click Edit on the organization settings
  2. Find the Allowed Currencies section
  3. Add the currencies you need
  4. Click Save

Timezone

Your organization’s primary timezone. This affects:

  • When scheduled emails send
  • When callback dates trigger (deals become ready at midnight in this timezone)
  • How timestamps display in reports
  • Activity and event timing

Important: The timezone is typically set during onboarding. Changing it later can cause confusion with historical data since timestamps are interpreted differently.

If you need to change the timezone and understand the implications, contact Rizer support for guidance.

Time Format

How times display throughout Rizer:

  • 12-hour format — 2:30 PM
  • 24-hour format — 14:30

Choose whatever your team is most comfortable with. This is purely a display preference.

Default Email Template Language

The default language for email templates in nurturing workflows. This determines:

  • The language for new email templates you create
  • System-generated text like unsubscribe footers
  • Template suggestions and pre-built designs

If you nurture contacts in multiple languages, you’ll create separate flows for each language. This setting just establishes the default starting point.

Common options:

  • English
  • German
  • French
  • Spanish
  • Other languages based on your business needs

Contact Information

These settings capture your organization’s contact details for compliance and identification purposes.

Phone Number

Your organization’s main phone number, including country code.

This appears in:

  • Organization profile within Rizer
  • Email footers (if configured to include contact info)
  • Exported reports and documents

Format it consistently with your country’s conventions.

Email Address

Your organization’s primary email address for administrative purposes.

This is used for:

  • Administrative communications from Rizer
  • Account-related notifications
  • Support correspondence

Use a monitored address — this shouldn’t be a no-reply or unmonitored inbox.

Physical Address

Your company’s mailing address, including:

  • Street name and number
  • City
  • Postal/ZIP code
  • Country

Why this matters: Many jurisdictions require commercial emails to include a valid physical address. This address may appear in email footers to comply with anti-spam regulations like CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and similar laws.

Keep this current. If your office moves, update the address.

Editing Organization Settings

Most organization settings can be edited by administrators.

How to Edit

  1. On the organization settings page, click the menu icon (three dots) in the top right
  2. Click Edit
  3. Update the fields you want to change
  4. Click Save

[Screenshot: Edit organization modal with all editable fields]

Changes take effect immediately throughout Rizer.

Who Can Edit

Only users with Admin role can modify organization settings. Standard users can view settings but cannot change them.

If you need to update settings but don’t have admin access, ask an admin on your team to make the change.

Settings You Cannot Change

Some settings are locked after account creation.

Organization ID

Your unique account identifier. This is permanent and cannot be modified. It’s used internally by Rizer and for support purposes.

Account Created Date

The date your account was created. Historical data cannot be modified.

Timezone (With Caution)

While technically editable, changing your timezone after using Rizer for a while can cause confusion. Timestamps are stored in UTC and displayed in your timezone. Changing the timezone changes how all historical timestamps display.

If you genuinely need to change your timezone (for example, your company relocated), contact Rizer support. They can help you understand the implications and make the change safely.

Organization Settings vs. User Settings

It’s important to understand the difference between organization-level and user-level settings.

Organization Settings (This Article)

Apply to everyone in your Rizer account:

  • Company name and branding
  • Default currency and allowed currencies
  • Organization timezone
  • Physical address and contact information
  • Default email template language

When you change these, the change affects all users.

User Settings

Individual preferences that each user controls for themselves:

  • Personal timezone (can override organization timezone)
  • Personal language preference
  • Notification preferences
  • Email signature settings

Users access their personal settings through their profile menu. Changes only affect that individual user.

When They Interact

If a user sets a personal timezone different from the organization timezone, they see timestamps in their personal timezone. But system-level operations (like callback date triggers) still use the organization timezone.

This can occasionally cause confusion. If your team spans multiple timezones, establish clear conventions about how to interpret dates and times.

Common Questions

Can I change my organization name?

Yes. Edit the organization settings and update the name. The change appears immediately throughout Rizer.

Does changing the default currency convert historical data?

Historical deal values stay in their original currencies. The default currency affects how totals are displayed in reports — Rizer converts at current exchange rates for display purposes. It doesn’t retroactively change stored values.

What happens if I leave the website field blank?

AI features that use your website for context won’t work as well. The AI uses your website to understand your products and industry. Without it, suggestions may be less accurate.

Can I have multiple physical addresses?

Organization settings support one primary address. If you have multiple offices, use your headquarters or primary business address — the one that should appear in email footers for compliance.

How do I update settings if I’m not an admin?

Ask an admin on your team. Only admins can modify organization settings. If you’re the only person on the account and somehow don’t have admin access, contact Rizer support.

Do organization settings affect the HubSpot integration?

Not directly. HubSpot integration settings (which pipelines to import, where to create deals, etc.) are configured separately in Settings > Integrations > HubSpot. Organization settings are about Rizer’s internal configuration, not the connection to HubSpot.

What’s the difference between organization timezone and HubSpot timezone?

They’re independent. Your HubSpot portal has its own timezone setting that affects HubSpot features. Rizer’s organization timezone affects Rizer features like callback timing and email scheduling. They don’t need to match, but having them aligned reduces confusion.

Best Practices

Keep Information Current

Update settings when things change:

  • Company rebrands? Update the name.
  • Office moves? Update the address.
  • New website? Update the URL.

Stale information causes problems — especially the physical address in email footers.

Choose Timezone Carefully

Pick a timezone that makes sense for your primary operations. If your team is distributed, choose the timezone of your headquarters or where most of your customers are.

Don’t change it casually later. The implications ripple through all timestamp displays.

Use Accurate Currency Settings

Set your default currency to what you actually report in. If your board sees numbers in USD, default to USD even if you have deals in other currencies.

Add all currencies you actually use to the allowed list. Missing currencies can cause problems when importing deals.

Review Periodically

Check organization settings once or twice a year:

  • Is the company information still accurate?
  • Has your business expanded to new currencies or regions?
  • Are contact details current?

A few minutes of review prevents problems later.
