Email nurturing DNS setup guide

This is a generic, step‐by‐step guide that you can use to set up the three required DNS records to enable email sending with our Email nurturing. This guide is designed to work with most DNS providers, whether you’re using your domain registrar or a third-party DNS host.

DNS set up

Log In to Your DNS Provider

  • Sign in to the account where your domain is managed (for example, GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, etc.).
  • Navigate to your domain management area or control panel.

Locate Your DNS Management Settings

  • Look for the “DNS Management,” “Domain Settings,” “Zone File Settings,” or “Manage DNS” section on your provider’s dashboard.
  • You should see a list of your current DNS records, which may include A, CNAME, and TXT records.

Add the Required DNS Records

For Email Nurturing, you’ll need to add three specific records. Note that the exact labels and steps might vary slightly from one provider to another.

  • In your DNS provider’s control panel, choose “Add Record” or “Create Record,” then select the CNAME record type and enter the details provided by Rizer.
  • If asked for a TTL value, you can use the default or “Automatic” setting.

Save Your Changes

  • After entering each record, be sure to click “Save,” “Add Record,” or follow your provider’s process for confirming changes.
  • Repeat this process for each of the three required records.

Allow Time for DNS Propagation

  • Please note that DNS changes can take anywhere from a few minutes up to 48 hours to fully propagate.
  • Use online DNS lookup tools if you would like to verify that your new records have been updated.

Confirm Setup in Email Nurturing

  • Once the DNS records have propagated, log in to your Email Nurturing dashboard.
  • Navigate to the DNS verification section to check if your records have been detected correctly.
  • If the verification fails, review the entries for typos or errors and repeat the process if necessary.

Additional Tips

  • If you experience any difficulties, consult your DNS provider’s help documentation – many offer clear guides on adding or editing DNS records.
  • Some providers may label DNS records differently; however, the required fields (Type, Host/Name, Value, TTL) should be similar.
