Re-engage a deal from Rizer

This article explains how to re-engage recycled deals from Rizer back into HubSpot. Re-engaging lost deals allows you to revive potential opportunities at the right time, based on callback dates, feature updates, or market changes.

How re-engagement works

When a deal reaches its callback date (or when a linked condition is triggered, like a missing feature being implemented), Rizer automatically creates a new deal in HubSpot.

  • The new deal is assigned to the same sales rep who owned the original.
  • It is placed in the pipeline stage you defined during onboarding (e.g., Qualified To Buy).
  • Rizer applies the daily re-engagement limits you set, so your team isn’t overloaded.

Manual re-engagement

Sometimes you may want to bring a deal back sooner than planned — for example, if a competitor’s contract is expiring or you see a new opportunity.

To manually re-engage a deal:

  1. Open the deal card in Rizer.
  2. Click the dropdown menu next to the In recycling status.
  3. Select Re-engage prospect
  4. The deal will instantly move into Recycling complete, and Rizer will create a new deal in HubSpot right away.

This ensures your sales team can act fast when market conditions change.

Re-engaged deals are easy to spot in HubSpot:

  • They display a recycling icon in the deal name.
  • The Rizer card inside HubSpot shows key details, including:
    • Recycle reason (e.g., Missing feature, Too expensive).
    • Callback date.
    • Linked competitor or missing feature.
    • Deal value and ownership.

Managing ongoing re-engagement

As deals recycle, Rizer continues to monitor them and push them into HubSpot when ready. This creates a steady flow of revived opportunities back into your pipeline, aligned with your callback rules and triggers.

Other tips

  • Make sure your callback rules are well-defined so re-engagement happens at the right time.
  • If a deal isn’t ready but you need to accelerate it, you can also edit the callback date to today to force re-engagement.
